Use botanicals you collect yourself or those provided by the instructor to make unique prints that may be used as cards, stationary, or framed art. This class takes a while to complete, but there will be a 2 hour break while the prints process. There are some great places nearby to have lunch or to shop while you wait, but you won’t want to miss the “reveal” during the last hour of class!

PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE TRANSFERS I WORKSHOP

A workshop at Wild Hare Gallery in Travelers Rest.

 In this 3 hour workshop we will experiment with two styles of transferring photos to non-standard surfaces. One will use acrylic paint to transfer photos to paper/wood/natural fibers. The other process will transfer to a hot press paper pre-coated with watercolor which can then be mounted on a wood panel. 

Sample images, transfer mediums, transfer surfaces including one 4” wood panel per student are supplied by instructor. Please contact Joann at jojo925@icloud.com or 864-630-1423 for more information.

Tuesdays 9:30AM - 12:30PM

Join me at Greenville Center for Creative Arts in Greenville SC for this 5 week class where we will abandon the presets in our cameras and learn to control the manual settings.  The class will cover the menus and options found on most DSLR cameras and how to manually change different options to effect the resulting image.  Students will experiment using different apertures, shutter speeds, ISOs and white balances. They will learn when to use those settings to their best advantage as well as practice making strong compositions with the camera.  Please be prepared for going outside when weather permits as we explore the Greenville area and experiment.

Everything iPhone for your Photos

Wednesdays, 10AM - 1 PM

5 week class beginning April 7th, 2021

In this 5 week class you will come to understand your iPhone Camera inside and out. Week One covers all settings in both Camera and Photos as well as the menus and options in the camera itself and gets you well on your way to taking better photos. Week two exposes some hidden gems and introduces third-party apps for taking photos. Week Three (weather permiting) will be a field trip putting into practice all we’ve learned. Week Four - navigating Photos, organizing and editing using the tools native to your phone. Week Five - editing using some amazing third-party apps.

Class runs 5 weeks on Wednesdays 10AM - 1PM beginning Wednesday, April 7, 2021
